Meditation

I actually hadn't listened to this relxation mp3 before. I did a different one in my ENG 103 class. I tried this one out because it was entitled "The Perfect Day" and I thought it would be a visualization of a nice day.

I felt very relaxed at the beginning of the relaxation exercise. I lay down and let all my worries go. I released the tension from my body and just let the music wash over me.

But when the meditation turned into matter sof money, I lost my meditative state. I didn't like it when she said stuff like, "I am a money magnet." You shouldn't worry about material things when you meditate. I thought the relaxation exercise turned into shallow "The Secret"-type positive thinking. And I really didn't like it when, at the end, she gave an advertisement for the meditation website.

For future relaxation writing exercises, I would like to find a mp3 that is voiced by an American because I find the British accent distracting. I'll have to listen to more to find one that isn't focused on money.
