Many obesity children have desease of sleep. Quater of them(selected 700 children) had sleep-disordered breathing. This article said -waist circumference and body mass index were strong independent risk factors for snoring and other breathing problems during sleep.
I think most important thing for good health is sleep well. If you don't get enough sleep, maybe you will get too much stress and anorexia and some desease... According to this article, obesity children have some desease of sleep (caused by obesity). Maybe obesity or have desease of sleep children don't grow well. So obesity children and their parents have to do their best for children's good health.
